Tyler Hains

Tyler Hains has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Tyler currently works as a DBA Manager at Givelify, a position they started in November 2021. Prior to that, they were the Founder and CEO of Chikara Health Records since September 2017.

Tyler has held multiple DBA Manager positions in their career. Tyler worked at Worldline Merchant Services from October 2020 to November 2021, where they led a DevOps DBA team and contributed to the development and design of new features and components. Previously, they were employed at Ingenico Group from August 2019 to October 2020, where they also led a DevOps DBA team and optimized code and hardware.

In 2015, Tyler joined Ingenico Group / Shaping the future of payment as a MySQL DBA Consultant on a 6-month contract. However, they stayed with the company until August 2019, primarily working on SQL Server administration, development, and data architecture. Tyler also took on side projects involving MariaDB Galera cluster and PostgreSQL cluster administration.

Before their roles in database administration, Tyler had managerial positions in the IT field. From 2004 to 2013, they were the IT Director at ProfitPoint, Inc., being responsible for the IT department and contributing significantly to the company's growth. Prior to that, they worked as a Systems Administrator at goEmerchant.com and as an Assistant Systems Administrator at Solectria.

Tyler's earlier career also included a role as an Engineer at Lavastorm from June 2000 to April 2001.

Tyler Hains received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tyler attended the institute from 1997 to 2000.
