Jose Useche (he/him/él) is a queer Latinx writer and activist from Queens, NY.
Previous to his arrival at GLAAD, Jose served TuttleCo, an agency to help nonprofits do digital better, as their Communications Manager. There, he supported multiple orgs in social media management, evergreen content creation, video and photo editing, and support for national campaigns like Pride Month, Parkinson's Awareness Month and multiple fundraisers. Prior to his time at TuttleCo, he was a Communications Intern and later Consultant for the Arcus Foundation, one of the world's largest LGBTQ grant-giving organizations.
As an actor, he has appeared on Broadway in Matthew Lopez's The Inheritance and has performed at prestigious NYC theater companies like New York Theater Workshop, the Acting Company, LaMama E.T.C., The National Queer Theater, and Lincoln Center. He is repped by Echo Lake Entertainment for Talent and Literary/Screenwriting, and by DGRW for talent.
He lives in Brooklyn, speaks Spanish, and loves yoga, good TV, and queer Latinx literature.
