Mariana Black has a diverse work experience in the field of food safety and quality assurance. Mariana has worked as a Chief Compliance Officer and QAP at GlassHouse Botanics Inc., where they were responsible for the development and implementation of quality assurance systems. Prior to that, Mariana worked at BC Tree Fruits Cooperative as a Safety Manager, where they managed occupational health and safety programs and implemented food safety programs. Mariana also worked at Sun Valley Fresh Foods as a QA Manager, where they successfully developed and implemented SQF 2000 Level 2 standard. Mariana has also worked at Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives and Medina Quality Assurance, providing guidance and support in the development and implementation of food safety systems. Additionally, they have experience as a HACCP Coordinator at Comisariato Aviaxsa, where they maintained GMP programs and developed HACCP plans.
Mariana Black completed their M.Sc. degree in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University - Macdonald Campus in the years 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned their B.Sc. degree in Food Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar (MX) between 1999 and 2003.
