Analytics and Business Intelligence Lead at Glassnode

Diego Leal Togni has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Diego most recently worked at Glassnode as an Analytics and Business Intelligence Lead, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Lead Analytics Engineer at Justos from September 2022 to February 2023, where they played a key role in maintaining and scaling the company's data analytics pipeline and led a refactoring of the Data Warehouse data model.

From April 2019 to August 2022, Diego worked as a Data and Insights Manager at Sharesies, where they developed and implemented the company's data strategy, built and managed a team of 5 data professionals, and facilitated data-driven decision making to enhance product offerings and marketing strategies.

Diego also worked as a BioStatistics R Programmer at Laboratório de Diversidade Genética Humana (LDGH) - UFMG from November 2013 to June 2014, where they developed a consanguinity test and identified suitable statistical methods.

During their time at Kroton, Diego held multiple roles. Diego served as a Statistical Software Engineer from September 2013 to June 2014, assisting in the development and management of a national assessment system and maintaining company websites and software solutions. Diego also worked as a Statistical Developer Intern from February 2011 to August 2012, running statistical analysis, automating reports, and creating tutorials and FAQs for software utilization.

Prior to that, Diego gained experience as a Statistics Intern at Listen Local Information System, where they assisted in developing and analyzing market research surveys, and at Minas Tenis Clube, where they contributed to athlete performance analysis and digitizing data collection systems.

Throughout their career, Diego has gained expertise in data analytics, data strategy development, database management, statistical analysis, automated reporting, and data extraction.

Diego Leal Togni has a diverse education history. In 2005-2007, they attended CTI - Colégio Técnico Industrial UNESP, where they pursued Vocational Education in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. Diego then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Statistics from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2008-2012. In 2009-2015, they obtained another B.S. degree, this time in Computer Science, from Universidade FUMEC - Oficial.

Diego further expanded their academic pursuits through study abroad programs. Diego studied Statistics at the University of Évora in 2012 and Spanish Language and Literature at EPA Ignacio Zuloaga in 2013. In 2014-2015, they embarked on another study abroad program, this time at Gannon University, where they focused on Computer Science.

To enhance their skills and knowledge, Diego also obtained additional certifications. In 2015, they received a Honor Code Certificate for Tackling the Challenges of Big Data from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Diego also completed an Intro to Python for Data Science course from DataCamp, although the specific date of completion is unknown.
