Dan Fergusson has a long and varied career in sales and business operations. In 2007, they co-founded SG Media & Entertainment, a music discovery site that attracted over 1 million viewers. In 2011, they joined Vision Critical as a Business Development Associate, where they led a team of 15+ business development reps and set a record for pipeline created for 5 consecutive quarters. Dan then moved to Australia to open VC's 19th office as Business Development Director, leading the Australia & New Zealand sales team as they grew from $3m - $10m. In 2017, they joined Helpful.com as Head of Sales, growing clients from 0-$1m and users 10% weekly before the company was acquired by Shopify. Dan then became an Advisor at NEXT Canada and black.ai. In 2018, they joined Rival Technologies as Vice President of Sales, launching a mobile community research platform and hiring a 6 person remote sales team. In 2019, they became Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at StellarAlgo Corp., leading go to market for the #1 fan data platform in sports and doubling professional team clients and signing major league partnerships, growing from $2m-$4m. In 2021, they joined Glean as Director of Sales & Business Operations, designing the business process and growing the sales team from 3 to 30 people. Dan also partnered with enterprise accounts to improve employee productivity & knowledge management.
Dan Fergusson has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from McMaster University, which they completed in 2011. Dan also holds a High School Diploma from Dr. John M. Denison Secondary School, which they obtained in 2007. In addition, Dan holds two certificates: a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of Toronto, obtained in January 2019, and a Certificate in Marketing and Sales from Schulich School of Business - York University, obtained in April 2014.
