Jessica Power Cyr MSc has a diverse work experience in the field of wellness and fitness. Jessica started their career in 2003 as a Program Manager at Heavens elevated fitness, where they oversaw multiple locations and ensured the brand's exceptional quality. In 2012, they became a Faculty Instructor at Mount Royal University, where they gained experience in teaching. Jessica then started their own business, In Power Wellness, in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as an Instructor Examiner at CSEP SCPE. From 2014 onwards, they joined The Glencoe Club, initially as a Personal Fitness Trainer and later as a Wellness and Lifestyle Director. Jessica was responsible for overseeing the new Wellness Centre and offering physical activity-based prevention and rehab programs. Jessica also worked as an Exercise Physiologist, focusing on cardiac prevention and rehabilitation programs. Jessica Power Cyr MSc has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Cardiac Rehab and Exercise Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in the Science of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick from 1996 to 2000. In 2013 to 2016, they earned a Diploma in Natural Nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
In terms of additional certifications, Jessica obtained the CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist certification from CSEP SCPE in June 2000. In October 2002, they became an AFLCA Trainer of Trainers. In September 2002, they obtained the ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. Lastly, in May 2014, they became a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer Instructor/Examiner through CSEP SCPE.
