Ernest Michael

Ernest Michael has over two decades of experience in finance, currently serving as the Director of Finance at Xstrata since 2006, where responsibilities include supervising personnel and formulating investment strategies to balance risk and return. Previously, from 1995 to 2005, Ernest held the position of Financial Manager at Sundance Resources Limited, where duties involved preparing financial reports and monitoring the performance of various financial departments. Earlier experience includes the role of Financial Assistant, focusing on compliance with Australian professional codes of practice and supporting day-to-day operations. Ernest holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Melbourne University, obtained between 1993 and 1995.
