James Phillips

Chief Scientific Officer at Glialign

James Phillips has a varied work experience in the field of regenerative medicine and innovation. James currently holds the position of Professor of Regenerative Medicine & Vice-Dean (Innovation & Enterprise) at UCL since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Reader in Regenerative Medicine & Vice-Dean (Innovation & Enterprise) at UCL Faculty of Life Sciences from December 2017 to September 2020.

Before joining UCL, James worked as the Chief Scientific Officer at Glialign since April 2016. James also held the position of Senior Lecturer at University College London from an unspecified start date until November 2017.

Earlier in their career, James served as a Lecturer in Health Sciences at The Open University from November 2004 to October 2013. James began their career as a Research Fellow at University College London from August 2000 to September 2004.

James Phillips completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London from 1993 to 1996. Following this, they pursued their higher education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmacology from The School of Pharmacy, University of London, from 1996 to 2000.
