Don Brafford has an extensive work experience spanning various companies and roles. Starting in 1975, they began their career with the USAF as the Director of Information Systems and Training Officer, where they developed schedules, allocated resources, and performed computer system setups. From 2001 to 2007, they worked for ITT and EDO/ITT in roles such as Senior Network Engineer and Sr. Program Manager/Network Manager, respectively. In these positions, they demonstrated strong leadership skills and implemented procedures to improve operations. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Jacobs Technology as the Senior Acquisition Analyst Information Assurance, focusing on project scheduling and team building. At Pharicode and GlideFast Consulting, they held the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance in developing information security programs. Don also worked as a Senior IA Architect at Pharicode and a Senior Cyber Security Project Lead at Jacobs Technology. Throughout their career, Don Brafford has consistently demonstrated expertise in information security, project management, and team leadership.
Don Brafford earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they studied from 1975 to 1979. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include being an (ISC)² Candidate from (ISC)² since October 2022, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner ce from CompTIA since June 2015, and CompTIA Security+ ce from CompTIA since March 2015.
