Charl Van Der Merwe

Charl van der Merwe is the Director of Country Programmes at Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), where Charl has been working since September 2018. Prior to this, Charl held various roles at Oxfam International from 2002 to 2018, including Associate Director of Confederation Development and Manager of Single Management Structure Implementation. Charl has a diverse educational background, with a BSc in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Pretoria, an MSc in Project Management in the Built Environment from Oxford Brookes University, and completion of the Senior Leadership Development Programme in Organizational Leadership at Syracuse University's Maxwell School. Additionally, Charl holds a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from Benchmark.
