M.D. Abul Bashar Chowdhury

Md. Abul Bashar Chowdhury is an experienced project manager specializing in food fortification and biofortification in Bangladesh, currently leading programs at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) since January 2022. Previous roles include managing field operations and partnerships at CARE and serving as project coordinator at Nutrition International, with a focus on achieving goals related to nutrition projects. Chowdhury's background also encompasses significant experience in the Micronutrient Initiative, where responsibilities included coordination, advocacy, and quality control for salt iodization. Additional expertise was gained as a cluster manager for the Bangladesh Agro-Processors' Association and as an extension officer for the Micronutrient Initiative.
