Jorij Abraham has extensive experience in the e-commerce industry, with a focus on trust and safety. Jorij is currently the Managing Director of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance. Prior to this, they held the same role at Scamadviser.com, where they helped millions of consumers determine the legitimacy of websites. Jorij is also the Founder and Managing Director of the eCommerce Foundation, where they promote global digital trade through research and knowledge sharing. Additionally, Jorij has served as a Professor of E-Commerce at the University of Applied Sciences TIO and as an Advisor on EU markets for the Russian E-commerce Association. Jorij has also held leadership positions at organizations such as Safe.Shop, Thuiswinkel.org, Ecommerce Europe, Unic Benelux, and Sanoma Media, where they played key roles in strategic development, acquisitions, and business growth.
Jorij Abraham earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business from Nyenrode Business University from 1991 to 1994. Following that, from 1994 to 1997, they obtained another degree, a MCS, in Business Information Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. Prior to these higher education pursuits, they received a Gymnasium Diploma from Vossius Gymnasium from 1984 to 1991, focusing on subjects such as English, German, Mathematics B, Economics, Dutch, Science of Nature, and more.
