Hema Shah

Hema Shah has a strong background in finance and strategy. Hema currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategy at GBTA | Global Business Travel Association since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the SVP Finance (Part-Time) at GBTA from October 2019 to March 2021. Hema also has extensive experience at GBTA, where they held the positions of SVP and Chief Financial Officer from March 2013 to October 2019, and Vice President of Corporate Strategy from November 2011 to March 2013.

Before joining GBTA, Hema worked as a Principal at Strategic Financial Consulting LLC from August 2010 to November 2011, where they specialized in financial and strategic decision making, including M&A, restructuring, and budgeting. Hema also has prior experience as a Senior Director of Finance at Travelport from February 2002 to November 2009, and as an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch from September 2000 to February 2002. Hema began their career at AT&T, where they served as a Manager from July 1996 to September 2000.

Hema Shah earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Rutgers University from 1992 to 1996.
