Saheed Alarape is an experienced professional in the fields of agriculture and education, currently serving as the Zakat and Welfare Administrator at Lekki Muslim Ummah since February 2024. Saheed has been involved with the Global Community Bio Fellowship since September 2020, focusing on societal empowerment through science education. A part-time lecturer at the College of Education from August 2019 to January 2024, Saheed provided academic leadership to students while preparing lecture materials and assessing examinations. Previous roles include Graduate Research Intern and Fellow at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), where Saheed conducted field trials and germplasm evaluations on yam species. Saheed also led a project for The Crawford Fund, prepared project proposals, and worked as a Root and Tuber Consultant at IITA Youth Program. With a Master's degree in Plant Ecology and Applied Genetics from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Saheed possesses a robust academic background complemented by extensive practical experience in agriculture and education.
