Sangmin Lee

Sangmin Lee has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Sangmin'smost recent role was as the VP of Technology - RF and Power at Global Communication Semiconductors, Inc. starting in February 2023. Before that, they served as the CTO at Wavice Inc. from May 2017 to February 2023, where they were responsible for developing GaN HEMT devices and foundry services for military and commercial applications. Prior to that, Sangmin Lee worked as the Managing Director at GigaLane from March 2015 to April 2017, where they were involved in project development. Sangmin also held the position of Research Scientist at Cree from January 2010 to February 2015, focusing on the development of new GaN HEMT devices. Sangmin Lee's earlier experience includes working at RFMD (now Qorvo, Inc.) as a Process Qualification Manager from March 2006 to December 2009, and as a Senior Process Engineer at Global Communication Semiconductors, Inc. from October 2001 to January 2006.

Sangmin Lee completed their education starting from 1992 to 1996 at Sogang University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Solid State Physics. Following that, from 2000 to 2001, they pursued a Post Doc at UC Santa Barbara, specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Currently, Sangmin is enrolled at Seoul National University, expected to graduate in 2023, where they are pursuing an MBA in the class of Executive MBA 2023.
