Ed Roy has a long and varied career in the private investigative and meteorology fields. Ed began their career in 1968 as a Meteorologist for KPEL, followed by a role as a Meteorologist for KATC TV-3 in 1975. In 1976, they took on the role of CEO for Globaldata Fusion LLC. In 1980, they were a Meteorologist for KANE Radio. In 1984, they became a Detective and Intelligence Officer for the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office. In 1994, they were the Council President (Chairman) for the Lafayette Parish Government. In 2000, they were a Colorado Springs for Pop-A-Lock. In 2001, they founded Ed Roy, Ltd. Private Investigative Services, where they were the Chief Executive Officer and Detective. In 2003, they were a Consultant Sales & Development Meteorologist for ImpactWeather, Inc. and a Consultant for Impact Weather.
Ed Roy's education history includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which they completed between 1968 and 1971 with a major in Earth Science, English, and Speech. Ed then attended Texas A&M University for Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology, and later Florida State University for Meteorology. Ed is currently attending Texas A&M University for Meteorology.
