Ben Savonen

Ben Savonen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategy, innovation, and humanitarian efforts. Currently serving as a Manager - Strategy and Build at The Global Development Incubator since August 2022, Ben focuses on launching and scaling initiatives to address global development challenges. Prior roles include Senior Associate at Tabiya, Director of Innovation and Business Development at Kijenzi, and Program Analyst at FEMA, where Ben coordinated disaster recovery programs. Additional experience includes serving as Technical Adviser for Field Ready, conducting research at Penn State University, and supporting healthcare startups at Villgro Africa. Ben holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, a Master's in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
