Rodrigo Claudino dos Santos is a fisheries analyst focusing on Latin America and supporting the transparency program to help organizations and governments use big data analysis to improve their fisheries management. Claudino has over 15 years of experience in vessel monitoring systems (VMS) analysis, fisheries management, monitoring and compliance. He has previous experience working in government, NGOs and academic research.
Claudino is oceanographer and has a master of science degree in environmental science and technology from the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí in Brazil, focused on using VMS data to analyze fishing behavior and compliance. Claudino loves surfing, building DIY electronics, and dogs.
