Bruce Garrick

Bruce Garrick has extensive experience in programming and software development, spanning over 30 years. Bruce started their career as a Senior Programmer & Tech Support Manager and Installer/Trainer at Physician's Digital Resources in 1985, where they wrote and supported medical practice software. Garrick then became a Programmer at MCCI/PSI, where they collaborated on Time/Attendance and Controlled Access System with UNIX and C. Later they worked as an Independent Contractor Programmer for various clients, including Helicomb International, Lurie Debevetz & Associates, and Edwards Chiropractic, performing custom programming work under C++ and Microsoft Access from 1992 until 1995. Subsequently, they spent more than a decade at USIS, where they held the role of Sr. Application Developer, led the integration of acquired business units, and designed the 'CustEdit' system, a comprehensive front-end solution that linked many systems in a VB 6 platform. Afterwards, they became a Technical Lead - Global Revenue Management at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group - A Hertz Company, where they gathered requirements from business and created software requirements, using MS Office and Visio for design documents and stored them on Team Foundation Server for team access. Garrick continued their career as an ETL Specialist at Creditpoint, where they developed SSIS packages to import and convert flat file data received by FTP into various SQL-based Creditpoint databases, including Company, Client, Ratings, Rating Instrument, Assets, and other tables from 2014 until 2015. Bruce later worked as a Biometrics Developer at Rockwell Collins, where they developed Biometrics services using Atkins Identity Management and created client software for IATA XML Baggage Initiative with WCF and Web API for AMQP and MQTT Message Queues in C# using Visual Studio 2015. Garrick's most recent work experience was as a Software Developer II at Global Holdings, where they held a position as a Senior Developer at US Payments before moving to the company, and worked primarily in software development.

Bruce Garrick began their education by attending Oklahoma State University from 1978 to 1982, where they studied Broadcast Journalism. In 1984, they attended the Bryan Institute and earned an Associate Programmer degree, where they studied COBOL, RPG II, BASIC, OCL, Basic Accounting, and Advanced Programming Techniques.
