Hai Thanh Luong

Hai Thanh Luong is a Research Fellow in Cyber Criminology at The University of Queensland, contributing to the development of cyber criminology courses and collaborating with industry professionals. Luong also serves as the Chair of the Asian Drug Crime Research Committee at the Institute for Asian Crime and Security, focusing on academic representation and policy reporting, while working as a Senior Researcher to analyze Asian crime and security. Additionally, Luong is an Expert with the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime and has held various academic roles, including Associate Research Fellow and Honorary Principal Research Fellow at RMIT University. Luong's experience includes consulting for organizations like Harm Reduction International and UNODC, emphasizing transnational crime, drug policy, and security issues in Southeast Asia. Educational credentials encompass a Ph.D. in Global, Urban, and Social Studies and a Master's in transnational crime prevention.
