Dr. Naomi Johnson-Booker has extensive experience in the field of education. Dr. Naomi founded Global Leadership Academies in 2006 and served as the CEO. In 2010, they became the Founding President of Philadelphia Charters for Excellence, where they remained until 2014. Prior to these roles, Dr. Johnson-Booker had a long tenure within The School District of Philadelphia, starting in 1967 as a teacher and eventually assuming positions as a principal and regional superintendent, before leaving in 2001.
Dr. Naomi Johnson-Booker earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Spelman College between 1963 and 1967. Dr. Naomi later pursued a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University from 1995 to 2000.
