Tom Smith

Tom Smith has extensive experience in the field of naval architecture. Tom currently serves as an Engineering Team Lead at Global Maritime, where they focus on technical reviews for marine warranty surveys and works on various aspects of marine vessel stability calculations and analysis. Prior to their current role, Tom worked as an independent contractor at Thomas A Smith, P.E. and as a Sr. Naval Architect at Bechtel Corporation, where they were responsible for stability calculations, load-in/load-out calculations, and mentoring junior engineers. Tom also has experience in project management and supervision as an Engineering Manager at Global Maritime Group. Throughout their career, they have worked on a range of projects involving feasibility studies, mooring analysis, and comprehensive technical design and review.
