Donna Abruzzese

Donna Abruzzese has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2002, they worked as Health Programs Manager for the Allston Brighton Healthy Boston Coalition, where they developed and implemented a tobacco prevention program and secured grant funding. From 2005 to 2016, they served in various positions at the American Cancer Society, eventually becoming the Managing Director of Community Events. In this role, they supervised teams, achieved income goals, and implemented effective CRM plans. In 2016, they joined Bright Horizons as the Director of Employee and Partner Engagement, where they led global HR engagement initiatives and implemented policies aligned with company goals. Donna later became the Director of HR Service Center, leading a 25-member team and overseeing the delivery of HR services. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Human Resources at Global Partners LP.

Donna Abruzzese, SHRM-CP, completed their education at Regis College from 1989 to 1993. Donna obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Communications and Political Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Donna obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification in February 2022. Donna also completed the LaborWise Leadership Certification of Completion from the Laborwise Leadership Field Guide in July 2021. Additionally, they hold a Certificate of Achievement in Principles and Techniques of Fundraising from Indiana University, although the specific dates of completion are not provided.
