Thomas Hyrkiel

Thomas Hyrkiel has over 14 years of work experience in content and publishing roles. Currently, they are the Head of Content Services at Global Relay, starting in September 2021. Prior to that, Thomas worked at the IFRS Foundation as the Head of Publishing from June 2017 to September 2021. Before that, they served as a Publisher at John Wiley and Sons from July 2014 to June 2017 and as a Digital Executive Commissioning Editor - Global Lead Risk from February 2013 to July 2014. Thomas also has experience at LexisNexis as a Managing Editor from March 2011 to February 2013 and as a Legal Editor from August 2009 to March 2011. Additionally, they worked at Thomson Reuters Accelus (Complinet) as a Senior Content Editor from October 2007 to August 2009.

Thomas Hyrkiel completed their Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Toronto from 1997 to 2001. Thomas then pursued a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature at Goldsmiths, University of London from 2001 to 2002. Thomas furthered their education by attending York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from 2004 to 2007, specializing in the field of Law.
