Sébastien Metz

Sébastien Metz is a fisheries economist and CEO, co-founding Sakana Consultants in 2015, where Sébastien has developed a diverse portfolio of projects across Europe, Africa, South East Asia, and North America. In addition to this role, Sébastien is involved with the Global Seafood Alliance as Market Development - EU, and serves as an associate at Sandfish Associates, a partnership among Sakana Consultants, Fishor Consulting, and Anderson Solutions. As a lecturer at Université de Bretagne Occidentale, Sébastien conducts seminars focusing on various aspects of the seafood sector, including Brexit implications and blue finance. Sébastien has held multiple positions in environmental and economic analysis within the fisheries sector at various organizations, including INERIS and Seafish. Educational background includes degrees in agricultural science and economics, along with intensive courses in bioeconomic modeling and fisheries econometrics from reputable institutions.
