Gabriel Badea

Gabriel Badea has a wealth of experience in the security industry, spanning several roles and organizations. Gabriel began their career at the Counter-Terrorism Brigade (BAT) Romania in 1990, serving as a Field Officer until 1998. Gabriel then founded Protguard Security and served as CEO from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, they joined GLOBAL SECURITY SYSTEM SA as Chairman & CEO. In 2001, they became President of The Romanian Security Industry Association, a role they still hold. In 2002, they joined Rompetrol Refining as Security Director. In 2013, they became Vice President and later President of Federatia Serviciilor de Securitate. In 2021, they joined the Confedetatia Patronala a Industriei din Romania as Senior Vice President and also became an Executive Committee Member of The Economic and Social Council of Romania (CES).

Gabriel Badea has a diverse education history. Gabriel completed their Bachelor of Laws degree in Law at Academia Alexandru Ioan Cuza from 1987 to 1993. Gabriel then pursued their MSc in Risk & Security Management at the University of Leicester from 2003 to 2005. Later, Gabriel obtained their MBA in Business from The Open University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the Physical Security Professional (PSP) from ASIS International in February 2023 and an IQ Level 4 Organization Award in Managing Security Risks in the Oil and Gas Sector from ARC TRAINING INTERNATIONAL LIMITED in 2020. Gabriel also holds the certification of Evaluator Risc la Securitatea Fizica from IGPR, although the specific details of its completion are unknown.
