Maggie Fleming has a diverse work experience in the field of humanitarian practice and emergency response management. Maggie most recently served as the Chief of Engagements at Global Support and Development starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Humanitarian Practice at InterAction from 2020 to 2023. Maggie also held various roles at the International Rescue Committee from 2015 to 2020, including Director of Emergency Response Management and Deputy Director of Emergency Response Management. Maggie also worked as a Technical Advisor for Emergency Response. Before that, they served as a Senior Disaster Operations Specialist at USAID - Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance from 2014 to 2015. Maggie has also worked at Medair, U.S. Senator Sam Brownback's office, Human Rights Caucus, Global Service Corps, and Peace Corps, gaining experience in support-base management, legislative assistance, human rights, and community health and AIDS prevention.
Maggie Fleming completed a Master of Science degree in Humanities/African Studies from The University of Edinburgh in 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, General from Pittsburg State University, graduating in 2001.
