James Cofone

James Cofone has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and project management. James is currently serving as the Engineering Director for Europe at Global Switch. Prior to this, they held various roles at Red Engineering, including Regional Director and Technical Director - Mechanical. At Red Engineering, they managed projects, collaborated with clients, and ensured compliance with local codes and standards. James also worked as a Design Manager at Deerns, overseeing the completion of data centre projects and managing the handover process. Additionally, they took a career break to embark on a sailing adventure before resuming work at Deerns as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. James began their career at Cundall, where they worked on critical systems projects and data centre designs. Overall, they have extensive experience in the engineering and project management field, specifically in the data centre sector.

James Cofone completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Reading from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they obtained the accreditation of Accredited Tier Designer from the Uptime Institute in September 2018. James also became a Chartered Engineer (CEng IMechE) through the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in March 2014.
