Rafal K. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2002 to 2006, they worked as a summer job assembly worker at Creyf's Personalservice GmbH in Munich, where they were responsible for assembling cars. In 2002, they also had an internship at the Municipal Office in Gliwice.

From 2007 to 2017, Rafal held multiple roles at Wapice Ltd, starting as a trainee and progressing to a project manager/senior software designer. In this role, they led diverse and multicultural teams and successfully completed various projects within estimated budget and schedule. Rafal also developed cooperation with an offshore office in Sri Lanka and had direct customer contact. Rafal was also involved in software designing, implementation, and coding for tailored business systems for industrial companies.

In 2012, Rafal took on a part-time lecturer role at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, teaching a database course on an international line.

From 2014 to 2016, they were a teacher and mentor at the Industrial Innovation Academy (I2A) at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences. Rafal co-founded this concept, which focuses on solving real industrial problems through complex software products developed by talented students.

Rafal joined Goldman Sachs in 2017 as a Vice President in Client Assets Protection Technology. Rafal led recruitment and team onboarding, promoted Scrum, and successfully influenced its broad use. Rafal was also involved in the design and development of a next-generation global Client Assets Platform. In 2021, they transitioned to the role of Vice President in Marcus Cards Core Platform, where they supported business focus teams in their integration efforts, with a particular focus on security.

Currently, Rafal works as a Principal Software Engineer at G-P/Globalization Partners, starting in 2023.

Rafal K. began their education in 2001 at High School, where they completed extended IT classes until 2005. Rafal then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Vaasa University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Rafal attained a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Politechnika Opolska between 2003 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Rafal has also achieved certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster from scrumalliance.org and an Oracle Certified Java Programmer from Sun/Oracle.
