Roland was most recently General Counsel, VP and Secretary at NetLogic Microsystems, a publicly traded semiconductor company.
Roland was responsible for all legal matters at NetLogic including overseeing several rounds of private equity financing, the company's IPO in 2004, several acquisitions, the development of NetLogic’s patent portfolio from zero to more than 800 worldwide patents, filings and international registrations, and the eventual acquisition of NetLogic by Broadcom Corporation.
Prior to NetLogic, Roland was an intellectual property attorney with Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman LLP, and held engineering positions at IDT and ULSI Microsystems.
Roland has a Law degree from Santa Clara University, is licensed to practice in California, and is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has a BSEE from the University of California, Davis.
