Aneeka Cheema

Aneeka Cheema has extensive experience in the field of art education, currently serving as a DESE Stakeholder Panelist for Art Frameworks with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education since July 2023. Cheema is an Editing Board Member for the JAEP Journal of Art Education PK and has been an Adjunct Faculty member and Thesis Advisor/External Juror for the MA Art Education program at Beaconhouse National University since June 2016. Previous roles include Director of preK-12 Fine Arts at Milton Public Schools, SE Regional Art Specialist at CES/Department of Youth Services, and Visual Arts educator at Boston Public Schools. Cheema's leadership extends to a prior position as C.E.O. of Baani D Pvt Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and a Bachelor in Design from the National College of Arts.
