Wayne Laffitte

Wayne Laffitte has extensive experience in the technology industry, particularly in the field of radio-frequency identification (RFID). Wayne began their career at Decibel Products in 1987, where they served as an Engineering Product Manager for over a decade. Wayne then joined Intermec Technologies in 1998 as a Senior Sales Engineer, providing pre-sales and post-sales support for domestic and international customers in the transportation industry.

In 2003, Wayne transitioned to the role of Business Development Manager at TransCore/Intermec/Amtech, where they continued to support sales managers and generate product solutions and costing proposals.

Wayne's work in RFID technology continued at AFX Technology, where they served as the VP of Operations from 2005 to 2006. During this time, they managed a hardware/software engineering development team and successfully delivered a pilot product for an RFID active tag system.

From 2006 to 2009, Wayne worked at Alcatel-Lucent as an RFID Project Manager/Consultant. Wayne developed and implemented customized RFID solutions for major corporations in various industries, coordinating efforts with different departments to meet specific business requirements.

Wayne then became a RFID Consultant at The OTA Companies from 2007 to 2010, providing expertise in RFID technology solutions.

In 2010, Wayne joined Venture Research Inc. as the Director of Professional Services. In this role, they developed sales leads, provided marketing support, and managed the delivery of software/hardware product solutions for over 50 customers.

Currently, Wayne is the Project Manager/Senior Solutions Engineer at GlobeRanger, a Fujitsu Company. Since 2015, they have been responsible for pre-sales and post-sales support, developing hardware/software IoT proposals, and managing project deliverables and schedules.

Wayne Laffitte obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Texas Tech University. Wayne attended the university from 1977 to 1980. In January 1994, they also obtained the certification of a Licensed Professional Engineer, granted by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in the state of Texas.
