Marc Dot's work experience spans over a decade and includes various roles and responsibilities in different organizations.
Marc began their career in 2008 as a Co-Founder of WEBCONCURSAL, an online platform for providing services related to bankruptcy processes in Spain. Marc held this position until 2011.
In 2010, Marc joined Adelphi Group as the International BU Director, where they worked on strategic product development consultancy, health economics and outcomes research, marketing research, and other services related to pharmaceutical development. Marc left this role in 2012.
During the same time period, Marc also worked as a Partner in Business Development at Adelphi (Spain). Here, they successfully sold the first PatientSevices project in Spain using a cloud platform. Marc left this role in 2013.
In 2012, Marc took on the role of Business Development Director at Asian startups, where they actively participated in startup projects in China and Hong Kong. Marc was involved in various aspects of these startups, including opportunity conceptualization, strategy design, execution plan implementation, and management. Marc successfully launched two startups that generated revenue within the first year.
Also in 2012, Marc worked as the BU Director at Flexxible IT, an IT company specializing in desktop virtualization, cloud computing, and tailor-made applications. Marc held this position until 2013.
From 2014 to 2016, Marc worked as the eCommerce Director (EMEA & LATAM) at Le Creuset, a renowned cookware brand.
In 2016, Marc joined ACCIÓN as a Startup Mentor, providing guidance and support to startups. Marc held this position until 2018.
In 2017, Marc became a Co-Founder and Board member of Globick, another organization related to startups.
Marc's most recent role is as a Partner at M&A Fusiones y Adquisiciones, an independent firm specialized in corporate transactional services. Here, they have been involved in M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions since 2013. Marc also holds a position on the Board of Directors at BLUEPHAGE, S.L. since 2023.
Marc Dot has a diverse education history. Marc obtained an MBA Full Time in General Management from Esade between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, specializing in ETSEIB - Industrial Engineering. Additionally, in 1997 and 1998, Marc also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
Furthermore, Marc completed their high school education, known as Bachillerato, at Reina Elisenda from 1980 to 1992.
In addition to their formal education, Marc has also obtained certifications unrelated to their academic background. In 1991, they acquired the "PER (Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo a Motor y Vela)" certification from the Ministry of Development. Later in 2010, Marc received the "Open Water Diver" certification from PADI Europe.
