Norbert Johnson

Norbert Johnson has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry, with a focus on imaging, navigation, and robotics. Norbert is currently the CTO of Imaging, Navigation & Robotics at Globus Medical, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the SVP of PD, Imaging, Navigation & Robotics at the same company from February 2014 to December 2021.

Before joining Globus Medical, Norbert worked as the CTO & COO at Lifespire (Stonewedge Corporation) from August 2009 to December 2013. Norbert also has experience as the Director of R&D - MNL at Medtronic Navigation from 2007 to 2009.

Additionally, Norbert co-founded Breakaway Imaging, LLC in 2002 and served as the VP of R&D until 2007. Norbert also worked as a Sr. Software Engineer / Project Manager at Visualization Technology from 1998 to 2002. Prior to this, they were a Research Assistant at Tufts University from 1996 to 1998.

Furthermore, Norbert began their career in the industry as a Database Software Engineer at Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. from 1995 to 1997.

Norbert Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University in 1996. Norbert then pursued a Master of Science degree in Robotics & Controls at Tufts University from 1996 to 1998.
