Margot Pont has extensive experience in the field of translational sciences and immunology. Margot is currently working as the Head of Translational Science at CellPoint, a Galapagos company, a position they started in June 2022. Prior to this, Margot held various roles at CellPoint, including Director - Head of Translational Sciences and Associate Director Translational Sciences, starting in 2020. Before joining CellPoint, Margot worked at Fred Hutch as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2016 to 2020. Margot also gained experience as a PhD student at Leiden University Medical Center, where they focused on identifying hematopoiesis restricted minor histocompatibility antigens. Additionally, Margot had an internship at La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology during their MSc degree, studying inflammation and CD4 T cell-help. Margot also completed an internship in Clinical Oncology at LUMC, where they explored the optimization of T cell therapy in metastatic melanoma patients. Margot's expertise and research experience make their a valuable asset in the field of translational sciences and immunology.
Margot Pont earned their BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in Biomedical Sciences from Leiden University. Margot completed their BSc from 2005 to 2008, followed by their MSc from 2008 to 2011. Lastly, they obtained their PhD from 2011 to 2016.
