Mary-Ellen Deforest Donaldson

Mary-Ellen DeForest Donaldson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles related to quality control, health and safety, and human resources. Mary-Ellen most recently held the position of Vice President Human Resources at GLS Canada since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Compliance, Health and Safety and PM Officer at Dicom GLS Logistics Systems Canada Ltd. from November 2018 to July 2020. Before that, they held the role of Director of Quality and EHS at Dicom Transportation Group Canada Inc.

Mary-Ellen also has significant experience at Purolator Inc. in Mississauga, ON, where they served as the National Health & Safety and Return to Work Manager from October 2011 to August 2017. During their time at Purolator, they developed and executed national health and safety programs, worked with regulatory bodies, and implemented return to work programs, resulting in a significant reduction in lost time injuries.

Starting their career at PPG Canada in Mississauga, Mary-Ellen held the role of Quality Assurance Representative. During their time there, they were involved in quality assurance development, health and safety representation, office relocation, and ergonomic consultation.
