Mike Schwartz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Mike is the Founder and CEO of Gluu, Inc., a company that helps organizations build secure web and mobile applications using open source software. Mike is also the Chair of the Janssen Project Steering Committee and the Host of the podcast Open Source Underdogs.
In addition, Mike has worked as an Author at Apress, where they wrote a book on building an IAM service using open standards. Mike has also been a Member of the UMA Working Group, providing technical input and feedback on access token management.
Before their current roles, Mike worked as an Independent Consultant, assisting large organizations in implementing identity and access management solutions. Mike founded and served as CEO of ZiaCom and ID-Vault, and was the CEO of Spacelab. Mike started their career as an Analyst at Dillon Read Capital Management, specializing in risk arbitrage.
Throughout their career, Mike has worked with several notable organizations such as Cablevision, AIG, BMW, and GE, and has implemented IAM products including CA Siteminder and IBM Tivoli Access Manager.
Mike Schwartz attended Washington University in St. Louis from 1988 to 1991, where they earned an AB degree. During their time at the university, they focused their studies on English, History, and Art History.
