Lorin Johnson

Lorin Johnson is an accomplished executive in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Executive Chairman of Glycyx since November 2020 and as Founder and Managing Director of Glycyx PharmaVentures Ltd. since April 2015. Previously, Lorin Johnson founded Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and held that position from November 1989 to April 2015. Early career experience includes serving as Director of Scientific Operations at California Biotechnology, Inc. and as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Educational qualifications include a Post-Doctoral Research degree in Molecular Endocrinology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BS/PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California.
