Jay Fetter has extensive work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Jay started their career as a Platform Arch. Intern at Apple Inc. in 2015, where they worked on a prototyping team and gained experience in firmware writing.
In 2016, Jay joined Uber ATC as a Hardware Engineering Intern, where they worked on the Hardware Engineering team, focusing on firmware writing, enclosure design, PCB schematic design and layout. Jay also contributed to the investigation and validation of new sensors.
In 2014, Jay became a Founding Member and the Drivetrain Subteam Lead at Cornell Resistance Racing, where they played a crucial role in designing and building an electric motorcycle for competition. Jay led the design and integration of the motor and system, and also oversaw the construction of a custom dynamometer for tuning.
At Uber Advanced Technologies Group, Jay worked as an Autonomy Hardware Engineer II from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they gained valuable expertise in autonomy technology and contributed to the development of hardware components for autonomous vehicles.
From 2021 to 2022, Jay served as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Aurora, where they took on responsibilities related to the design and development of electrical systems for autonomous vehicles.
In 2022, Jay joined EKTO VR as the Lead Electrical Engineer, where they led electrical engineering efforts and played a key role in product development.
Most recently, in 2023, Jay started working at Glydways as an Electrical Engineer, where they are currently involved in electrical engineering projects.
Throughout their career, Jay has demonstrated their technical skills and ability to lead teams. Jay has experience in circuit design, firmware writing, and extensive knowledge of various programming languages including C, ARM, Obj. C, Swift, Lua, and Git. Jay's expertise spans across various industries, including automotive, robotics, and virtual reality.
Jay Fetter completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2017. Jay then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they earned in 2018.
