Travis V. has a strong background in systems engineering and hardware engineering, with experience in both the aerospace and transportation industries. Travis began their career as an Aerospace Intern at Flight Works, Inc. in 2010. From 2011 to 2018, Travis worked at SpaceX, starting as a Propulsion Intern and then transitioning to a Propulsion Engineer. During their time at SpaceX, they contributed to the development of systems and components for the Cargo and Crew Dragon vehicles, working on various propulsion subteams. In 2018, Travis joined Uber as a Hardware Test Engineer before progressing to the role of Senior Hardware Engineer in 2020. At Uber, they focused on hardware testing and development. In 2021, Travis joined Aurora as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they worked until 2022. In their role at Aurora, they contributed to system engineering tasks. Travis then moved to Astra in 2022, where they worked as a Staff Systems Engineer. There, they were involved in the development of system requirements, verification, and validation for Launch System 2. Finally, in 2023, Travis joined Glydways as a Staff Systems Engineer, although the details of their responsibilities in this role have not been provided.

Travis V. pursued their education in the field of engineering. Travis began their academic journey at UC Irvine in 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011. Following this, they furthered their studies at the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
