Jorge Benitez

Jorge Benitez is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in designing architectural electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and electronic safety & security systems. Jorge has worked at GMB since November 2022, previously held positions at Strategic Energy Solutions, Inc. and GMB Architecture + Engineering, where collaboration with various engineering and architectural disciplines was essential. Prior to these roles, Jorge gained valuable skills as a Resident Assistant and Tour Guide at Hope College, as well as an Undergraduate Research Assistant focused on developing wireless sensor nodes. Additionally, Jorge interned as a Facilities Engineer at Steelcase, contributing to project proposals and technical drawings. Jorge earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with an Electrical Emphasis from Hope College in 2018.
