Cameron McLean has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the technology and data industry. From 1997 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Manager at Accenture. Cameron then joined Australia Post, where they served as a Business Engagement Partner for the Retail sector from 2012 to 2014, and later as the Head of Technology for Banking & Wealth Management from 2014 to 2015. McLean then worked at SecurePay as the Chief Technology Officer from 2015 to 2016, and subsequently as the General Manager from 2016 to 2017. Cameron later became the Chief Information Officer at Yarra Valley Water from 2018 to 2019. McLean then joined WorkSafe Victoria, where they initially held the position of Director of Enforcement and Advice from 2019 to 2021, and later served as the Director of Prevention Strategy before transitioning to their current role as the Chief Technology & Data Officer at GMHBA Limited in 2021.

Cameron McLean has a diverse education history that includes both formal degrees and additional certifications. In 1991, they started their education at RMIT University, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration. Cameron completed this program in 1993. Following this, in 1999, Cameron enrolled in the AGSM @ UNSW Business School and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Change Management by the end of the year 2000.

In recent years, Cameron sought further education to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Lean Change from UXC Consulting. Additionally, in 2016, they completed the ITIL Foundation course offered by UXC (a CSC Company), earning a certification in ITIL Foundation.

More recently, in 2021, Cameron pursued further professional development by enrolling in the Company Director's Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
