Tristram Mayhew

Founder, Chief Gorilla, Trustee at Go Ape

Tristram Mayhew has a diverse range of work experience. Tristram is currently involved with PadelStars UK as a NED and seed investor. Prior to that, they were the Chair and pre-launch investor for The Font. In 2018, they served as a Trustee Board Member and Chair of Safeguarding and Impact Committee for the NCS - National Citizen Service Trust. Tristram Mayhew is also known for their role as the Founder, Chief Gorilla, and Trustee of Go Ape, an adventure forest group that they established in 2002. Tristram later became the Group Chairman for Adventure Forest Group Limited. In 2014, they co-founded Air Space and served as its Chairman. Tristram Mayhew has prior experience working for GE Capital as a European marketing manager and Coca-Cola Schweppes as a Regional Sales Manager. Tristram began their career in 1987 as an Officer and Tank Commander in the British Army.

Tristram Mayhew attended Tonbridge School from 1981 to 1986. Tristram then pursued their undergraduate studies at The University of Edinburgh from 1987 to 1991, earning an MA Hons degree. In 1992, they briefly attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Later, they enrolled in the Cranfield School of Management, completing the Business Growth Programme in 2006. Finally, from 2013 to 2018, Mayhew attended the London Business School, where they completed The Presidents Programme in Leadership (YPO) with a focus on entrepreneurship.
