Purva Dandona has worked in various positions in the field of talent acquisition, career counseling, and vocational assessment since 2007. Purva began their career at I Have A Dream as a Board Member, where they developed and facilitated workshops on communication skills, employment opportunities, and applying for colleges for under-served, first generation college students. In 2008, they moved to San Francisco Vocational Services as a Vocational Evaluator. In 2010, they joined Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties as a Career Advisor for the TrainGreenSF program, providing career counseling and case management services. In 2011, they moved to the same organization as an Assessment Specialist, providing interpretation of diagnostic vocational assessment and developing a psychosocial report. In 2013, they joined SEIU UHW West & Joint Employer Education Fund as a Career Counselor, providing career and academic advising services to Union Members. In 2014, they joined Aspire Public Schools as an Aspire Teacher Residency Recruiter, actively recruiting college students and career changers interested in participating in a four year teacher residency program. Finally, in 2017, they joined Goalbook as the Head of Talent Acquisition, creating the foundation of talent strategy and philosophy of the company.
Purva Dandona received their Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University between 2003 and 2005. Purva received their Bachelors of Science in Human Development from the University of California, Davis between 1997 and 2001. Purva also holds a Certification from San Francisco State University in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General.
