Nanna Saito Nielsen

Nanna Saito Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nanna began their career in 1997 as an Associate at the Center for Better Living. Nanna then worked as an Assistant at UNICEF from 1999 to 2000. Nanna also served as a Customer Consultant at LINDBERG in 2002.

In 2004, Nanna joined Saxo Bank, where they held the positions of Senior Sales Trader from 2004 to 2008 and Head of Trading Services from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they worked as an Intern at Bridges Ventures in 2012.

Nanna then joined Lloyds Banking Group and participated in their Future Executives Programme. Nanna first served as a Senior Manager in Commercial Banking from 2012 to 2013 and later as the Head of Operational Performance - Customer Due Diligence, Operations from 2013 to 2014.

In 2016, Nanna became the COO of Ctrl Me Robotics Inc., a drone solutions company. During their tenure, they achieved a 57% increase in revenue and successfully transitioned the company from a B2C to a B2B model.

From 2017 to 2023, Nanna worked at GoCardless in various leadership roles. As the VP of Operations, they oversaw global operations, including payment processing, customer support, compliance operations, and billing. Nanna also led the transition of operational teams from London to Riga and created a Shared Service center to drive efficiency. Nanna later became the VP of Banking Operations and the Director of Banking Operations at GoCardless, where they built the global bank debit network, scaled payment processing capabilities, and reduced processing costs.

Nanna also had a board membership role at UK Finance as a Payments Product & Service Board Member. Here, they played a key role in formulating payments industry policy and prioritizing industry-related matters.

Nanna Saito Nielsen has a diverse education history. Nanna earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 1999-2000. Following that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 2002. Later on, in 2011-2012, Nanna attended the University of Cambridge, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Social Impact Finance & Management. Additionally, Nanna holds an ACI Dealing Certificate from ACI - The Financial Markets Association.
