Michael Schwarz

Michael Schwarz is an accomplished professional currently serving as a member of the Präsidium at Goethe-Institut e.V. since December 2023. Previously, Michael has held the position of Managing Director at Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche e.V. (BBUG) since March 2022 and served as Managing Director and Director of the Center for International Affairs at Stiftung Mercator GmbH from January 2011 to February 2022. Earlier in Michael's career, leadership roles included Head of the Communications Department and Assistant to the Board of Management at Robert Bosch Stiftung between March 2005 and January 2011, as well as a Consultant at CNC Communications & Network Consulting AG from March 2002 to March 2005. Michael's educational background includes studies at the University of Konstanz, Rutgers University, Bucerius Summer School, Harvard University (2013) with a focus on Executive Education in Leadership Decision Making, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, earning a degree in AMP Leading beyond the Crisis.
