Liav Yona has had extensive work experience in various roles and companies. In 2015, they joined Unit 8200 - Israeli Intelligence Corps as a Research and Development Engineer. During their time there, they designed and developed a Python library for automating usage of Android mobile devices and also built native Android libraries. In 2018, Liav became a Development Team Lead, leading a team of 4 developers and tailoring the application's capabilities to meet client needs. They also worked as a Research and Development Engineer, contributing to the development of a smart VPN application. In 2020, Liav joined CyberArk as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the Conjur application, utilizing technologies such as Java, Spring, Ruby, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Currently, Liav Yona holds the position of Engineering Team Lead at Firefly, starting in December 2021.
Liav Yona completed their education at multiple institutions. They attended De Shalit from 2012 to 2015, where they studied Computer Science and Physics. Prior to that, they were enrolled at Tel Aviv University in 2011 to 2012, focusing on Mathematics.
In addition to their formal education, Liav Yona has obtained various certifications. Some of these certifications include "Architecting on AWS" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2021, "Developing in AWS" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020, "Java Microservices with GraalVM" from LinkedIn in August 2020, "Kubernetes: Service Mesh with Istio" from LinkedIn in August 2020, "Microservices Foundations" from LinkedIn in August 2020, "Spring: Spring Cloud" from LinkedIn in August 2020, "Learning the OWASP Top 10" from LinkedIn in July 2020, and "Ruby on Rails 5 Essential Training" from LinkedIn in June 2020. They are also working towards obtaining a Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from The Linux Foundation, which is expected to be completed in May 2023.
