Damith Dananjaya Karunarathna

Damith Dananjaya Karunarathna has a strong background in technical support, engineering, and project management. Damith Dananjaya is currently working as a Technical Support Engineer at Gold-i since November 2022. Previously, they worked at Dialog Axiata PLC from October 2018 to November 2022, where they held roles such as Specialist - Enterprise Solutions Engineering and Engineer - Enterprise Solutions Engineering. At Dialog Axiata PLC, Damith designed and customized network solutions, gathered and analyzed customer requirements, and coordinated with technical teams. Damith Dananjaya also acted as a single point of contact for technical support queries. Before that, Damith worked at NET LANKA ENGINEERING SERVICES as a Regional Engineer from January 2018 to August 2018. In this role, they managed various projects and conducted progress meetings with stakeholders. Prior to that, they gained experience as an Electrical Engineering Trainee at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and as an Engineering Trainee at Biomed International Pvt ltd, where they underwent training and performed maintenance and diagnostics on electrical and medical equipment.

Damith Dananjaya Karunarathna completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc. Eng) in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna from 2014 to 2017. Damith Dananjaya then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bedfordshire, starting in 2021 and expected to finish in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Damith Dananjaya Karunarathna has obtained various certifications. These include the Data Citizen Bronze Training from the Data Science Academy in August 2022, the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in July 2022, the AI for Everyone - Theory certification from AI Singapore in May 2022, and the Fortinet Network Security Expert Level 1: Certified Associate from Fortinet in June 2022. Damith Dananjaya also holds the CCNA certification from Cisco obtained in July 2020 and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate from Oracle obtained in July 2020.
