Zanele Gqirana

Zanele Gqirana is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as the People & Culture Manager at the Gold Youth Development Agency, following a progression from People & Culture Coordinator since January 2022. With a strong foundation in HR strategy and operations, Zanele has led initiatives in recruiting, retention, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and training. Prior experience includes a role as Personnel Officer with the South African Police Service from March 2014 to January 2022, focusing on administrative support for employee development and recruitment. Earlier career experience includes research assistant positions at Knife Capital & AngelHub and the National Research Foundation, as well as a student researcher role at the University of the Western Cape. Zanele holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resource Management from Stellenbosch University, along with a B.A. Honours in Developmental Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of the Western Cape, complemented by a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
