Nakissa Etemad

Nakissa Etemad serves as the Associate Artistic Director at Marin Theatre Company since October 2020, collaborating with Artistic Director Jasson Minadakis in a variety of areas including season programming, artist hiring, and new play development. In addition to this role, Nakissa has been a Resident Artist at Golden Thread Productions since 2018 and holds multiple positions with Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, including Regional Vice President of the Metro Bay Area. A freelance dramaturg, producer, and translator since 2007, Nakissa has also held positions as Resident Dramaturg at The Cutting Ball Theater and Dramaturg & Literary Manager at The Wilma Theater. Educational achievements include a Master of Fine Arts in Dramaturgy from UC San Diego, certificates in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from UC San Diego.
